About us - Lifestyle shutter company history

Our first couple of brochures featured the types of interior wooden shutters, coupled with some fairly simple illustrations of windows with plantation shutters and solid panel shutters on. At this stage everything was run from a home officeand garage, using friends and family to help, calling in all manner of favours.

Brochures 2 and 3 followed, as mdf shutters for windows and doors were introduced in February 06. The current brochure now features our innovative remote control shutters.

As we began to grow, we were able to move into our own industrial unit with offices and increased warehouse space. A showroom display was created, and more vehicles followed - we've found the Volkswagen Transporters the perfect vans for carrying shutters.

After 1 flood, 4 Christmas do’s, numerous nights spent in the warehouse, 1 warehouse move, a number of sense of humour failures, countless re-prints letter headed paper & brouchures, 4 broken sat navs, every vehicle breaking down in one nightmare week in June 2007, 3 awards, numerous disputed parking tickets, one credit crunch, a dozen intensely annoying customers (mostly related to us), a great team spirit, incredibly tolerant partners and staff, one credit crunch, bucket loads of sweat and plenty of laughs, we're still here!

Since our conception Lifestye's shutters collection has changed. More importantly, the construction of our shutters has also changed to provide an even further improved product. The one thing that's not changed, is how well we treat our valued customers, which is why we so easily achieved inclusion in the rigorously vetted Trading Stardards "BUY WITH CONFIDENCE" scheme. We're still incredibly proud of each job of work we complete, but it's not complete unless our customer is 100% delighted.
