Lifestyle Shutters was established in 2005 by Nathan Clarke and Mark Costar, who recognised that there was a gap in the UK market for a company making and fitting high quality interior shutters – with full control over the design and fitting.

Equally important was the concept of all-encompassing personal service: in Nathan’s words, ‘doing things the way we would want them done if we were our customers’. From the start, it has been central to their philosophy that the company’s shutters are manufactured with all the attention to detail found in quality furniture.

Shutter Experience

Prior to setting up Lifestyle Shutters, Nathan had worked with shutters and blinds manufacturers for many years, while Mark has an interior design background and spent five years working on quality furniture designs in Australia. Between them, the two directors have over 19 years experience.

As Lifestyle Shutters grew, it moved to larger premises with increased office and warehouse space. Recent renovations have seen the showroom increase in size, enabling clients to view company’s full range of premium shutters and blinds.

The construction techniques of our shutters reinforce their core strength, helping eliminate the movement usual in wood products. Our unique multi-stage sanding and paint finishing process results in long-term and effective resistance to harmful UV rays, making our shutters last a lifetime.

Our attention to detail and client-focused approach has earned us a place in the rigorously-monitored Trading Standards’ ‘Buy with Confidence’ scheme.
