Commercial grade shutters... perfect for hotel rooms
Made from various woods and timbers interior shutters can be made to a commercial grade, with wider stiles and frame dimensions if necessary (see Shutter construction) for greater strength and support. With a lower fire rating than curtains.
So as well as a beautiful window dressing that provides greater control of light and privacy to rooms, shutters can actually reduce insurance permiums.
The added bonus to hoteliers is they can save on their dry cleaning bills. Unlike curtains and drapes, shutters require very little maintenance and do not need dry cleaning.
