Roman blinds or Roman shades as they are sometimes known, create a truly elegant and luxurious feel for your windows. Roman window blinds are formed of crisp horizontal folds which drop neatly to the window sill. When raised the blind has a soft layered pleat effect and each roman blind when fully lined maximises warmth, privacy and light control for the room.

There are over 110 fabrics in a range of textures, fabrics and weaves and most can be produced as blackouts, thanks to our advanced production techniques.

Made to measure Roman blinds can be supplied fully lined to ensure they hang perfectly and when raised form into a bunch of soft pleats. Lined Romans in particular have very good heat-saving properties, which have been proven to cut winter heating bills.

Custom made Roman's can also be supplied as an economical unlined option - perfect for decorative window treatments where diffused light control is required. Every unlined Roman Blind has a cord that raises/lowers the position of the blind. This is secured to a cleat fixed to the window frame or wall.

Our lined and blackout Roman blinds headrail has a side winding mechanism, similar to the headrail on our Roller blinds, with a chain to raise and lower the blind.

Romans are ideal throughout the home, but they are particularly suited to dining rooms and lounges because of the soft look the fabric creates at the window. We offer a blackout lining so the roman blinds are perfect for bedrooms.

They can be used as a standalone window treatment fitted outside the window or fitted inside the window recess and combined with curtains and top treatments for a layered look.
