Solid panel shutters are specially designed to resemble original Victorian Regency style solid shutters, which were historically made from pine. They retro-fit and blend beautifully with period room features or with traditional, existing solid wood shutters.

From their earliest days, solid wood panel shutters have been used for complete insulation from noise, privacy from neighbours and increased security.

Our premium range of solid wood panel shutters are made in three unique styles.

> Solid raised panel shutters closely follow the raised panelling on original Victorian shutters.

> Moulded shutter panels replicate the solid panel shutters of the Regency era.

> Solid Shaker-style shutters suit all interiors - modern, contemporary or traditional.

Our shutters are manufactured with wider stiles for increased joint strength and rebated panel edges to block the vertical light gap where the shutters are hinged together and so achieve a virtual ‘blackout’.

Timber is a great material for insulation, and solid shutters with wider stiles (for increased strength) make a superb insulating barrier.

In particular, our exclusive Red Cedar shutters, because of the cellular structure of the wood, are three times more efficient than other timbers at retaining heat.

And naturally, being maintenance-free, there will be no dry-cleaning bills.
