At Lifestyle Shutters we use the finest quality, responsibly-sourced timbers to make our interior wooden shutters. The colour or stain finishing of these woods, coupled with our unequalled craftsmanship, ensure your wooden shutters look as good and operate as smoothly in 20 years time, as they did on the day they were fitted.
Prices for wood window shutters vary, depending on the type of wood used or finishing processes involved.
The unique properties of the timber make some woods more suitable for certain applications. This allows us to create interior wood shutters from over 3,500 colours/stain finishes, in five plantation shutter sizes, three solid shutter profiles and a number of additional customisations, such as remote operation and LED lighting technology.
The finest, unique quality timbers are required to construct interior wooden shutters.
Below are the timbers and materials used to make our interior wooden shutters:
Natural wood shutters made from Red Cedar combine exceptional strength and insulation, with the warm honey tones of the Canadian Red Cedar tree. Cedar is resistant to rot, harsh weather conditions and even naturally repels insects.
A fine grained, lightweight timber. Its natural appearance, reminiscent of English Oak, remains visible even in a white painted finish. A traditional shutter with a lively, modern look.
A high quality, smooth hardwood, Basswood has very little visible grain. It is a heavier timber with a reinforced Basswood core, making it very hardwearing and particularly suitable for settings where extra durability and protection from damage is required.
An economical shutter material that's water resistant, stain resistant and exceptionally strong. Its wipe-clean surface makes it easy to keep looking good.
Solid-core PVC shutters resist moisture, heat, UV rays, and are certified for flame retardancy. Ideal for wet rooms, showers, conservatories or areas prone to condensation or insect infestation.
Crafted from solid Basswood without a reinforced core, this is a very competitively priced hardwood and a popular material for shutters. Painted white finish only.
